Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) – CFHI
The prices will be displayed on the checkout.
Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is a human Herpes virus (HHV-4) and has a diameter of approximately 120 to 180 nm. It is an enveloped icosahedral virus that contains a nucleocapsid and double-stranded linear DNA. EBV is propagated in a transformed marmoset leukocyte cell line.
Heat inactivated culture fluids are sold in 1.0 mL aliquots, and shipped on dry ice. Since EBV is grown in a transformed cell line, it cannot be titered by TCID50. Each lot of viral culture fluid is assayed by real-time PCR and comes with copy number / mL quantitation. Custom orders are available, including specific volumes and package sizes.
Heat inactivated viral culture fluids are sold as consumable testing materials. The suitability and performance characteristics should be determined by your laboratory for each intended usage. These products are NOT intended for use in the manufacture or processing of injectable products subject to licensure under section 351 of the Public Health Service Act or for any other product intended for administration to humans.
