Zika Virus is an enveloped, icosahedral Flavivirus that contains a non-segmented, single-stranded positive-sense RNA. Zika Virus (Strain: DakArD 41662) is propagated in the Vero or LLC-mk2 cell line. This Zika virus was collected from Aedes spp. mosquitoes in 1984 from Senegal; NCBI GenBank Accession No. KU955592. Heat inactivated culture fluids are sold in 1.0 mL aliquots, and shipped on dry ice. Each lot of viral culture fluid is assayed for its Tissue Culture Infective Dose (TCID50) before being heat inactivated. Custom orders are available , including specific volumes and package sizes.
